Hello All,

I'm a newbie on this group and I thought I would introduce myself. I've been into UFO since the early seventies, and I've just completed the DVD set and have started re watching them, brings back a lot of memories. This series was a very big part of my youth and I collected all the books, gum cards, dinky toys etc, which is significantly some of the only remaining stuff I have from my childhood – must have felt the need to keep it. It's great to watch it again and actually understand a lot of it, as I never did as a kid!
I was wondering if someone could help me with a few queries regarding the series:-
1. Transmission dates. I used to watch UFO on what I think must have been the first or second re runs – 11.10 on a Sunday AM on Anglia TV, then 2.10 on Sunday afternoon for Midlands. We could get both in our area. This would have been in the early to mid 1970's, I guess between 1973 and 1976 but does anyone have the exact dates? I missed this first transmissions in 1970 1971 as I was only 3 or 4 at the time!
2. I wish I had found this group 10 years ago – I notice that there have been a few conventions. Are any more planned? Are they advertised on this group? Do you have to join Fanderson to attend?
3. My favourites of the series were of course Straker (leader), Foster (hero), and Lt's Barry and Ellis (since I am male!). I checked up on a few of the actors on Wikipedia the other day and noticed to my great sadness that a number had passed away, but it seems that Dolores Mantez and Gabrielle Drake are still going strong – I wondered if anyone on the group could get me a signed photo (such as you get at conventions) from them. Please note I'm not a stalker or fishing for personal info, and happy just for someone to act as an intermediary as I respect everyone's privacy and will of course cover any costs involved.
