Excellent information Keith - I would have seen some of those 1970s Granada repeats. The episode titles are especially useful as these are often hard to track down. Interesting to have another memory confirmed - I had a vague impression of seeing a late night Saturday repeat listing for UFO early in 1977 but I wasn't able to see it and there it is in your records. I remember the 1986-1987 repeats really well and would welcome more details when you can post them. I recall them being around Sunday lunchtime and wasn't aware there were any late night repeats.
 
Well done for encouraging Granada to show them all. At that time I hadn't heard of Fanderson or seen an episode guide so had no idea of which episodes had been broadcast - I was just delighted the show was back on TV. It raises the question of whether "The Long Sleep" was ever shown in the pre-satellite era outside a late-night slot. I know that the BBC repeated it during the daytime in the late 1990s but even that was edited for the very mild swearing when the bomb disposal expert finds he can't drill through the bomb casing.

I can add some information to this topic.

My information starts in 1974 when a change of programme announcement on Granada TV (UK) flashed on the screen - this change was to be a UFO episode at 11pm. (It was a school night and had to ask if I could watch it !)
This was to be the first of many that I recorded on cassette tape and also logged the date of screening.

1974 date.

'The Psychobombs' and 'The long sleep' didn't make it as a repeat during 1974 - 1976.

The break between 1975 and 1976 could have been due to Space 1999 being aired for the first time. All the above were published in Fanderson S.I.G. number 16, Autumn 1986. (and acredited to me)

If anyone is interested in the 1980's repeat dates in the Granada TV area I can post them at a later date. I did harass Granada TV to make sure they screened all the episodes in the 1980's which threw up 'The long sleep' aired at 3am! (I had never seen it before)
