Talking about remakes, let me ask this question.  The script writer, would you want to have the person watch all the episodes or just receive a over view of the characters and basic concepts?  

The reason I asked, I watched the latest Star Trek remake.  While I enjoyed it, I felt the writers used portions of the scripts and plot devices from the original series, the movies, and even a plot device from one of the Godfather movies.  Come on, having Kirk threaten the Gorn with a offer they cant refuse.... (Ok, I am kidding about the offer that cant be refused, but a scene did remind me of the Godfather)

Hi all,

I know that the whole topic of remakes is very controversial,
and as such many folks are skeptical about any UFO remake
every being made.

However, over the weekend I just watched this brand
new fan-produced remake of the original Star Trek TV
series ("Star Trek Continues"), and was very impressed
with the concept, in that in many ways, this looks and
feels like an original 1960's episode of Star Trek:
