Thanks to David and Griff for saluting GA and our UFO heroes. They were very special to me even tho I never met them. UFO was my escape the summer of 1971 when it aired on Lionel TV here in Maritime Canada. UFO helped me cope with the terrible consequences that came from a near death inducing car accident my maternal Grandparents had on Prince Edward Island. We moved into their house and ran our daily lives from there. When my grandmother came home from the hospital she was more dead than alive, having sustained terrible injuries in the accident and then having a stroke which caused paralysis on the right side of her body. I slept with her, bathed her, fed her and gave her her meds. I was just barely 13 yrs old

And I'm not a particularly avid SciFi fan, but UFO's been part of my life in various ways since I was 9 or 10 and no other show has been woven through my life the same way.

As long as this infectious enthusiasm continues Ed, Michael, Gerry et al will always be remembered.
