The first eps to air of UFO here in Maritime Canada was on Lionel TV in 1970. I have a feeling it was started in Sept when all the new shows were aired. I did see it and it was Identified. The tv station had been showing promos for it and i was hooked just from that! Lionel TV aired a shit ton of British imports at that time, and it's main office and broadcasting location was in a little burg named Moncton New Brunswick. In addition to UFO, they'd been airing Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) one of my very Favourites, The Des O'Connor Show, the series with Tony Curtis and Roger Moore, The Saint, The Avengers, Mind Your Language, Doctor in the House, et al.Not to mention all GAs puppet shows which I watched as a younger child!

A couple yrs later Lionel was swallowed up when three Maritime Canadian tv stations merged to become the Atlantic Television System. When that happened they also became a subsidiary of CTV, and there were no more British tv shows to be seen! As an aside I ended up working for ATV for 12 yrs myself when I got out of university.
