I've recently found this website which has a large index of information on TV programming from the 1920s to the 1990s! Sadly it has the Thames/LWT area and BBC1 & 2 only so far with a few Carlton datings!
I've been going through it with a fine comb and have only found a few UFO references on LWT from 1970 and they only seem to have shown 14-17 episodes! The site states it is not perfect and that a lot of info is needed some of which i have given them on Space 1999 but it's worth a look...
