Coming out of lurk mode to add my ten pennyworth -
I liked your comprehensive comments Christian - particularly the bit about
the organ stealing

Seems obvious now - atmospheres must have been pretty similar!
I think the bit with Gay Ellis passing the helmet on was to make the point
re their 'emotional attachment' - but think she got off lightly with the
'verbal warning' :-) Poor behaviour for the person in charge who should have
been half way to their post as soon as the alert was called!
On the whole I don't like this episode - IMHO I don't think it hangs
together very well - but on reflection the early episodes did seem a bit
disjointed.
Tooth decay was certainly a problem on the alien's planet - you'd have
thought that with their ability to travel such distances in space they'd
have found an improvement to amalgam fillings.......(Sorry - just had to add
to the nit pickings)
