if the aliens can use hypnosis as a method of control., why not use the method to capture as many specimiens to take for organ harvesting...it makes more sense ., rather than getting blown out of the sky my Shado defense systems.

aliens plotting something quite similar about getting their paws on our
world - except of course they have a whole environment they would have to
adapt to - and perhaps that is part of their problem - they can't exactly
adapt to it as they'd like. It's still poisonous to them.
