wanda ventham

Charlie & Lorraine-2
Hi, I was just watching "Coupling" a British TV Comedy on NJN public
television and Wanda Ventham was playing Susan's mom. She was wearing a
purple blouse.
The episode is from 2001. It will be playing at midnight again tonight
if anyone wants to catch it.

My DSS system carries NJN the description on the program guide says:

"My Dinner in Hell" Susan's parents attend dinner with Steve, Patrick
enters the copyrighting business.

Sound like the right one?

I'll tape it but I don't know how to do frame grabs. Want a dub Marc? I'm
putting it on the same tape as the recent Twilight Zone with Bill Mumy and
his daughter, the sequel to It's a good life. (Which, actually was quite
good! Not that I'm going to think anything BAD about THAT now!)

I agree 100%. Though she is heavier, she still has a very pretty look and she
was just great in the part. I recognized her voice at first. The purple
blouse should have been a clue. IMO purple is her color.

That was it Phil. I taped it but the copy isn't good (poor reception). Did you
get a chance to watch it? I wanted to see her face when she opened the gift
Steve gave her by accident.

Sorry this stupid computer is sending email before I write again.
As I was going to say. Wanda is still a beautiful woman and last time I saw
her which was year before last in 3 episodes of the Hetty Wainthrop
Investigates on Mystery she looked as if she had slimmed down and she also
looked this way in the photos from her attendance of the Con in Italy.
Guess what I'm trying to say in a round about way is size doesn't
matter<G>

yeah, I taped it and watched it at the same time. I was enjoying one of my
last quiet nights before going back to work after winter break. (Spent
half of winter break shoveling snow!)

Anyway, Wanda and I are on the same diet! ; - ) I thought she was pretty
good in the episode, she has that little elfish twinkle in her eyes. The
show I had never seen before and it was a little lame. Wanda's TV daughter
was very pretty. We never got to see Wanda open the present, she just sent
the boyfriend (Steve??? I forgot already) a roomful of flowers at the end
of the episode!

Not bad, the look in her eye reminded me of the look she has in one of the
Prisoner pictures Marc has on his site. That little twinkle there! Nice.

Wanda can also be seen pre-UFO in the Sid James vehicle, The
Big Job. Yes, chaos, she's in a state of undress with just a towel
wrapped round her to preserve her modesty.

Richard,
you can go to google and enter her name in the search engine and then
instead of going to the sites it gives click on the images icon at the top of
the page. So good ones there also in the listing(several if I remember
correctly from her appearance as a nurse in a episode of The Avengers).
Also go to the Daily Mirror photo archive at Mirrorpix they have two
of her which she was a bit heavier with actor Robin Ellis from the series
Polldark.

Don't get too excited. Her screen time lasts all of a few seconds.

The film is entitled The Big Job.

I shouldn't think so for a moment. It's actually a humdrum early
60s British black and white comedy. Very much filler material for
the TV schedulers.

Sorry, but you might be lucky one day if it's shown on telly.

Dave.

Speaking of which, did anyone catch 'There's A Girl In My Soup'
the other night, with a brief appearance by Gabrielle Drake?
