3-D Skydiver Mesh?

I got an email from someone looking for a 3-D Skydiver mesh. I know

in the past, such a thing was available, but are they still?

Hi All....

I've noticed over the years that many people on this list are either
involved with some sort of video production, or use video and graphics
software to make either still pictures or moving video pictures with 3D
modeling software.

I'm interested in learning about this type of stuff, with the idea of
learning to create computer generated videos featuring both people,
vehicles, and background scenery.

I know nothing about video graphics modeling presently. However I have
used a form of 3D modeling, called AutoCAD, in the past. I would greatly
appreciate any guidance, input, or suggestions from anyone on this list who
has experience in this type of thing - like any software packages you'd
recommend, where to get them, etc, and the benefits of each....what features
I might want to look for in a graphics package, etc.
I have visited some sites that feature galleries of artwork created by
these things, but they don't explain much about how the packages work.

If anyone has any suggestions, and wouldn't mind answering a few follow

SKYDIVER - is available in Poser 5 format and 3ds on Anthony Appleyards Poser Web site.

Skydiver - LIGHTWAVE Mesh

I have a copy of the 3D Lightwave Model of the SHADO Skydiver - modeled by Don Showalter. There have been many copies of Don's Mesh translated into 3DS, Poser5, and Bryce. As long and Don Showalter does not object - I will share the 3D model with anyone in the SHADO group who wants it. Don Showalter did a fantastic job and the MESH is beautiful. Don needs to get back to work making meshes!!!! It was a sad day when his web site closed. There are current versions of the SKydiver mesh on the Appleyard Poser site - and many other great Gerry Anderson 3D Mesh models are available. They can be downloaded directly from the web site. The Several Gerry Anderson Yahoo groups post the models for download currently. I have most of the UFO meshes. Email me directly - You must be able to accept large downloads through email.

I would like the OK from Don Showalter - I think he still gets the emails from this Yahoo Group - Hey Don - is it OK to share the UFO Skydiver mesh?

See there for some Gerry Anderson UFO series related CGI images that I
made.

Several people in Renderosity made images using the Mobile model,
often set on alien planets (and one underwater). One image was set on
Mars, with the Mobile relabelled ESA = European Space Agency.
