Alan Harris???

Hi all,

I got an e-mail informing me of an upcoming sci-fi
convention featuring Ed Bishop as a guest:

Another one of the guests is named Alan Harris,
who is most famous for playing a lizard bounty
hunter in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (!), but
supposedly he also had a small part in UFO
as well. I've never heard of any Alan Harris...
anyone have any idea who this guy is, and
what role he played in UFO?

him in a lizard bounty hunter suit!)

Hard to say who he might have played in UFO though...

I think this guy might have been a Skydiver captain
in one of the Pinewood episodes... although which
one escapes me at the moment...

I haven't heard of this guy either. None of my cast credits for UFO mention
him. So I checked him out on IMDB. He did appear in Star Wars(1977) as
Leia's rebel escort? Also in the films Squeeze Play as Left Field, I think I
saw this its a baseball comedy. And He was in Evilspeak as a cadet. I
remember this film too. He would have to be rather young to play a cadet in
it and it was made in 1981. He is listed in several other films as crew.
The crew part in the Star Wars film are all listed as Stand-in or double. I
think the guy might be trying to con people as anyone could be in that lizard
suit and he was just a stand in or a double.

The guy claimed to play a submarine captain on UFO. Now, as far as I
know, all of the Skydiver captains were credited, and they aren't
him. However, there is a Skydiver crewmember on DESTRUCTION who is
uncredited, and he does sort of resemble the STAR WARS "Rebel
Leader". You can see him staring at a monitor while Skydiver is
trying to find the bottom of the ocean (intercut with Foster &
Straker playing golf).

Thanks for this information Sheila! I checked this Space:1999
episode, and the guy who played the "Patient" looks like the Skydiver
crewmember from DESTRUCTION, so that appears to be a mystery solved!
