Alexis Kanner

Just read in The Stage Newspaper today of the very untimely death of Alexis
Kanner, [Cat with Ten Lives] - they don't go into detail but say that he was
found dead on December 13th 2003. He was described in the obit as a firebrand
actor of the swinging sixties - but we all remember him from that performance
in Cat and I saw him recently in a film called Crossplot with Roger Moore and
he was just the same. A sad loss to the world of acting, writing, producing
and directing. He was just 61 years old!

Wow, that's a real surprise.

I actually remember him more for the two appearances in THE PRISONER.
Especially his bit in the last episode ("...them bones, them bones, them dry
bones..."). He did a nice job in the UFO episode, though. Too bad.

That is very sad to hear. Besides Crossplot with Roger Moore,he also did
the film Connecting Rooms. This movie has him playing song writer wanna be who
uses women to get what he wants. He is a total bad news. During the
production of this film his firebrand manor caused Bette Davis the star of the film to
take such a intense dislike of him that she demanded he be replaced. The
producers kept him and this proved to be a wise move as the film won the Belguim
film award as best film.
