Alien spacesuits

How did the actors get into the film prop alien spacesuits? Through
the neck? I can't see a zip on them. (I had a neck-entry old-type
frogman's diving drysuit.) If so, is the black "apron" over the
shoulders, to hide a large neck-entry hole?

More then likely that is the logical explanation for how they got into them. Or maybe they is a seam in the back covered by the air tank. Check with Fandom to see if they know....

Probably two piece, so the top part slips over the head like a
jumper.
