Any UFO from the US

Duh - lol - After I have seen there are UFO/Anderson Fans in the US, I least
do not feel alone (LOL). Does anyone remembers "Journey To The Far Side of
the Sun" - LOL.

Im with you. Daughter things I am a UFO nut due to lack of oxgen when I
had my attack. I came out of the UFO closet so to speak. Remembered the
show from the 70's, then caught it again in the 90's on SciFi. I like Far
Side also, but then I am also a Ed Bishop fan to. Have the Laser Disk tapes
of UFO. I belong to Fanderson and get a lot from them. Captain Blue also my
favorite. It is nice to know I am not alone. Elaine

It made enough money to donate money to the convention charities and pay
for both guests. As for the fact that there were under a hundred people
there, wouldn't you like to be at a convention and sit next to Ed Bishop
while you watch UFO together in the convention video room? Or not have to
wait in line for an autograph? How about have dinner with the
guests? That was the beauty of Spacecon. I should also add it was held
simultaneously with two other "small" conventions, a gaming convention and
a video convention. Total convention guests for the hotel was probably at
least 150 with about 50 or so for Space 1999. But my main requirement for
successful is the fact the convention never went into the red like some of
the others did. (Sorry, I'm tap dancing off topic! Talk to me off list if
you want to continue)

I've been to giant conventions, they're fun but i get tired of waiting in
line for a few hours to get an autograph or not be able to get into a
function room because it's already overcrowded with SRO.

That's odd, so every guest at Dragon Con is a signature guest and charges
for their autograph or is selling photos? Then if you want UFO actors at a
local SF convention you'll probably have to go with Shore Leave in Maryland
or United Fan Con in Mass. The best way to get these people at the
convention would be to join the committee and lobby for them. It would
probably take a couple of years to do it.

ICON, the local SF convention on Long Island always had Dr Who guests until
recently. My guess is the current committee isn't interested in Dr Who anymore.

There were three books by David Bischoff plus a bunch of toys and stuff
done by Vivid Imaginations for Space Precinct.

Also of interest is Chris Bently's recent editorial in FAB about Space
Precinct in which he compares it to the older shows. I forget which issues
it's in, probably not the current one maybe the one with Maya on the cover?

I live in Fremont, CA.

I watched UFO in 1972 when it was broadcast on KPIX out of San Francisco; at
the time I was living in Sunnyvale, CA. I believe it was on at 6 PM on
Saturdays.
