I'm going to try Skydiver next, maybe! But I enjoy drawing faces especiallyexpressive ones! I find hands difficult so I wanted to try this pic.

Stunning! I have such admiration for folks that can draw so well. I, on the otherhand, can draw stick people, and no one can even tell that they are stick people. *Sigh*
You have quite a skill/gift there!! Keep up the great work. I'menvious. Jeff --- On Wed, 6/23/10, Lightcudder <[hidden email]> wrote: From: Lightcudder <[hidden email]> Subject: [SHADO] Art work.. P.S. Now that I think about it, I have a question, if you don't mind. I suppose it is different for every artist, but in your case, do youfind it easier to draw something such as a SHADO Mobile (for example), or a SPECIFIC person's face (Ed Straker, for example)? I would think it easier to draw something like a mobile, or even a bowl of fruit, because even if subtle "errors" are made in the drawing, the item drawn is still quite recognizable. But with a specific human face, minor errors could render the work unrecognizable as the specific person intended. Am I making any sense, lol?

I know it is (I've tried drawing the odd face myself), and I applaud people who can, so well done Lightcudder! It's the ability to catch all of the nuaces in a face that make the difference between half arsed or very well done.

Hi Lightcudder: I have been wanting to tell you this for a long time, but I'm a big fan of your work. You certainly are a very talented lady. I enjoy your stories on your web site and your art work is impressive to me. I would give my right arm to be able to do what you do. I have always loved UFO/Thunderbirds and I agree with you when it comes to all things "Straker" he's...Simply the Best! Keep up the great work...and the stories of course. Beautiful. Such talent you have. Between able to write great stories and
you also have the talent for drawing. Elaine In a message dated 6/23/2010 7:08:07 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, [hidden email] writes: Stunning! I have such admiration for folks that can draw so well. Gosh..Thanks for the comments.I'm glad you like to see the pics... as to whether I find certain things easier to draw...I do like doing 'objects' suchas the Shado Mobile, and Moonbase, but I particularly enjoy faces... the more expressive the better.Which is why I don't do Paul Foster much.. his face is not very 'deep' and Alec Freeman is rather flat featured, with a thinmouth. One day I will finish my Gay Ellis walking along the Moonbase corridor...! And get round to doing pics of things other than SHADO.. actually, why should I? I'm a UFO fanatic.. and proud of it!
I have done some puppets, but they are too boring really, although the eyesare fun. (That's the thing about Straker.. the eyes!!) As for the pictures you don't see.... ! Hmm. I had one of Straker that madehim look about 90! (quite accidental!) And one of Scott Tracy that made him look a combination of Afro-Caribbean, and gay, ... with a squint.... don't ask. It was dreadful! Those go in the bin! I am currently working on one of Rachel.. from the Rachel Chronicles... butI can't get her nose right! I'm open to requests though! |

I offer my congratulations too on your work, Lightcudder.
LoWiz, if you gave your right arm, you'd have to draw with your left hand! That would be easier if you're left-handed, I guess!
