Dear Sirs,
my name is Enzo, I'm a big fan of the U.F.O. series. That series stroke me so much when I first watched it. I've recently watched the whole series again and decided to see what had happened to my "heroes", Commandant Straker and Col. Foster. That's why I first joined the Ed Bishop group at yahoo and now, thanks to suggestions from that group, SHADO too. I would like to ask a question to both groups -- what happened to the careers of Bishop and Billington after the UFO series shut down? Which works would you recommend me to watch, and in which order? Thank you very much Kind regards, Enzo |
I would go to imdb.com, and do a search for each of the respective gentlemen.

Welocme to the group, Enzo. I can tell you for certain that both men
were in episodes of The Professionals. Michael Billington, The Rack. Where he played John Cougar, an exboxer turned drug dealer. Ed Bishop, Long Shot, as Dr Ernest Harbinger, and Man Without A Past, where he played CIA agent Braddock. Michael Billington also appeared in a Bond film, he was a russian agent and was killed in the first 5 mins. He went on to do things behind the cameras and also taught acting. Ed Bishop had a long and varied career in England, often playing Americans (Gee, you don't say :-P , sorry, sarcasim) although he did do some movies in the States. If I've missed something or got something wrong I'm sure someone will correct me. Ed was actual in two Bond films. He worked as a flight tracker in You Only
Live Twice at the start of the Film. And in Diamonds Are Forever he played a Technician at the Whyte test labs. James K. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Oh cool. I'm not normally a Bond fan but I have to have those ones in
my collection just for those two actors. Remember, the series and the bond movies were filmed in the same studio, Pinewood In one of the DVD commentaries from the series, they talk about seeing the Bond sound stage while Straker running around.
