Blueprints.

Does anyone know if there are any blueprints of SHADO HQ, Moonbase etc
that I might be able to get hold of?

Well, there are no OFFICIAL blueprints, if that's what you're
looking for. If you're looking for FAN blueprints, check

There was a tech mannual published about 3-4 years ago called the
SHADO Design Artwork Mannual. I'm guessing it was a fan produced book,
but it was extremely well [dare I say profesionally] produced. It runs
to a couple hundred pages and is chock full of engineering and
architectural styled drawing and illustrations of just about
everything you could want from the series. From third angle drawings
of the craft/models to, drawings of the film sets and props [including
the guns etc] and, yes it included drawings of Moonbase - the only
draw back from a modelling perspective there are very few estimation
of scales are included and there was the odd error. But it is pretty
darn good! in the vast majority of cases. I got my copy for about $25
but hav'nt seen one for a while - I'm not sayingg it's rare I just not
seen a copy for sale I'm sure they surface on eBay from time to time.

If you're looking just for some unofficial blueprints, I've been playing
around with moonbase and vehicle plans over the past few years, just for
shits & giggles. They're kind of works in progress. They follow as best I
can the show's canon, but are adjusted for practicality. Don't know if
that's what you're looking for....

They are here on my computer. They are drawn on AutoCAD. I have release
11, thus it's not that good at producing picture images of the views. I've
found SnagIt doesn't work on it either, as it is a DOS based application.
However I can get VGA digital stills of it using a camera and rig, and have
a collection of stills built up over time.
Perhaps if Marc were agreeable to it, I could upload some to his site,
as I would have no place of my own to distribute them from.
