Carts

In the future, you won't have to walk.

Besides, have you never been to a college campus, or a retirement community? ;-)

Carts are ubiquitous, and everyone uses them, especially retirees, and/or maintenance personnel.....

Re: Carts

Hi All,

I remember on a visit to the Pentagon quite a few years ago, they had electric buggies (like cut-down golf-buggies) delivering post, supplies, parts, and so forth around the multitude of corridors. Also, they had (light blue/grey) tricycles with a large container boxes on the back that you could cycle around certain corridors, and even use in the lifts. If you had a visitor pass and been issued with a special ticket, you could use one of this 'trikes' and pick up and put down at 'Trike' parking areas - certainly saved on the legs.

I have been told by a friend that some people now use Segway's there as well.

Regards,

Griff

Such carts are common, and have been for decades, at the larger film studios, which can cover tens of acres. Pinewood is one example. Apart from personal transport some have a flat bed and trailers can be towed.

No, never seen anything like them in a studio. Sorry if that was what was meant by the original questioner, in which case I misunderstood. The carts common in the larger film studios are like golf carts.

I seem to recall a tv sitcom called "A Very Peculiar Practice" set in a University Medical Department in the 80s; in the second season they introducedSinclair C5s which were used as runabouts.
