This is the episode that we have been discussing for the past 2
weeks, so if you'd like to say something about it, please do!

Also, for those of you ready to move on to the next episode, let's
hear your comments on the next episode, FLIGHT PATH!

Marc,
I've dutifully watched Computer Affair and thought I'd have something to add
to the discussion. But this is a very forgettable episode, and I didn't
find anything interesting worth mentioning in it. I used to think (and find
myself still in agreement after all these years) that the doctors and Alec
were all a little hard on the commander when he decides to use the drug on
the alien and it kills him. I mean, really, guys! What other options were
there? They practically ganged up on him with their accusing glares as he
left the room. What a bunch of idiots! Anyway, as I said before, there's
nothing really meaty in this episode, and a lot of weak points that are
nitpicky enough that I won't mention them for sheer numbers. I'm ready for
Flight Path!
Yours,
Denise

I thought that "Computer Affair" was one of the most well written and acted
episodes of the series.

Every Shado resource was used to find the UFO, which was really
invigorating. I thought that SID seemed very sluggish in responses, almost
confused.

I feel Nina, Joan and Lt Ellis could have gotten coordinates faster for the
interceptors to alter course, but she saved her supposed boyfriend instead
of Ken, naturally in the line of duty.

The fact that Alex bet the farm on it, and them makes me fell she was doing
the right thing only to have Straker confirm it with an open question in the
end.

Excellent episode! I can't wait for Virgina Lake!!

Yours in respect,

Gary

So I guess it's safe to presume that "Computer Affair" is, quite possibly,
the weakest episode in the series.

Well I'm glad I'm not the *only* person that likes this episode !!
I can't believe how negative some people have been towards Computer
Affair.

I concur with your comments Gary.
I think the episode is particularly well written and acted.
I particularly like seeing Lt. Ellis out of the purple wig at SHADO
HQ... and totally out of uniform at the cafe.

...Also as someone else mentioned in a earlier post, the model work (in
particular the SHADO Mobiles) is *excellent!!
But I always have a chuckle when the drivers of the mobiles (as they
leave the transporter) don't match the close-ups of the people who are
actually in the front seats of the vehicles.
Just one of *many* things that ad tot he charm of the episode.

All in all... I give Computer Affair 8.5 out of 10.
