DeepDiscount Corrects Release Date

Just to let everyone know -- DDD corrected the release date to July
30....

Well, I just got an e-mail from them this morning that says they
shipped my set and I should have it in 5 days. I'll post word when
it does show up.

Same here. I have dealt with them a lot and they have never sent me a
confirmation and then not shipped the product. I am interested to see if
they really went out or if we get a correction notice.

Thanks for the heads up. I got my notice, too!

I don't think they'd send it out without actually shipping it -- so let's see
when we get it!

OK -- I bet we were all pre-orders -- let's have someone place an order today
and see when they get the "your order shipped" email. :)

I got a link sent to me with a UPS tracking number,
so they must have shipped SOMETHING!

I just got an email from DD saying that they had shipped me the UFO
set as well. We'll see in a few days, I guess.

to 3 days. Normally I go with regular delivery with DeepDiscountDVD, but for
UFO I selected Express Mail to get it sooner.

I know what I'll be doing this weekend ;-)

Yeah, I did the same thing, although I'm annoyed to see that they
shipped it 2nd day UPS instead of Priority Mail, because UPS never
leaves things at the door while the post office does. Which means
that if I really want to get this before the weekend, I need to
wait around for the UPS guy to show up! :-(

(possibly a good excuse to take the day off work though...)

Ron, did Deep Discount DVD send you a UPS tracking link? Although I
paid for 2-3 day shipping, when I looked at the link, they sent it
UPS Ground anyways. So I won't be getting mine until the 16th... :-(

(still, that's better than A&E)

I pre-ordered a set for a lucky someone for his birthday and the e-mail I
got said he should get it in 2 or 3 days, by priority mail!
8-)

Now, I can't wait to see how this mystery will be explained!

By the way, I got an e-mail from an unhappy Deep Discount DVD
customer, who said that they cancelled his order scheduled
for July 9th, and rescheduled it for delivery for July 30th!
So if anyone here order from them but didn't get an e-mail
saying it shipped, you might want to check your "Order Status"
on their website and see if the same thing happened to you.

I meant to say USPS Priority Mail..

I also checked my Order Status to see if it mentioned a UPS tracking number
and it didn't, so I assume it was shipped USPS.

Gee, thanks, Yoda. ;-)

The reason we're making an issue of it is that there is a whole bunch of
confusion right now over these discs -- why would DDD have them and not A&E?
Also -- it seems that in some cases DDD is screwing up the way they mail
things for people who paid for faster delivery.

So -- it's not really just "fanboy drooling" at the mailbox -- it's actually a
legit info exchange. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it! ;-)

I just checked the order status menu at Deep Discount and it said the UFO
set, the THUNDERBIRDS megaset and the copy of TOP SECRET! I preordered have
all shipped!

When I'm going to have the time to watch all of them is anyone's guess.
