In Italy it was definitely a big hit. Still today, it's very well-
known and popular.

What's about U.K. or America? I read somewhere that the series flopped
in one of the two mentioned countries.
I was wondering about the success of 'U.F.O.' worldwide, even.

Has a cult following of some sort sprouted in either UK and America,
then?

Many thanks to everyone.

Well - I'm not sure it was a flop, but it certainly wasn't a hit. Then,
as now, it was never a household name, and was known as a kind of
offshoot of Thunderbirds and Stingray with human (albeit not always less
wooden) actors.

Certainly in the UK, yes.

It must've done okay in Australia, as it was being repeated a lot when they screened Space:1999. And I assume they wouldn't have bought 1999 if UFO had tanked in the ratings, as it was the same station (the Seven Network) which screened both.
