ELECTRONIC ORGAN : OPENING SEQUENCES OF UFO

Brian Serridge
Can anyone tell me the name of the musician who plays the electronic organ on many of the openining sequences of UFO? Also, what type of organ is it - Hammond, Hohner, Farfisa, Moog. . . ?

All the Best,

BRIAN

Hi Brian, to be specific, it was a Hammond B3 with two Leslie 122 Speaker cabinets, played by Harry Stoneham, who also did the theme and accompanying music for the Parkinson show for many years.

The other peculiar instrument heard occasionally is the Ondes Martenot, owned by Barry Gray, and precursor to the rather better know Theremin.

Oh, and I AM an expert regarding keyboards, it was my job for nearly twentyyears working with a lot of big name artists. :)

Amazing the mixture of people you get on here!

Do you know, that was a really scary piece of information. Incredibly amazing the mixture of people on here! Definitely!!
- and I'm not being sarcastic Rob, I am really impressed! ( I have to be careful what I say .. on one forum I have had my wrists slapped for admitting I like Ed Straker!) I am going to listen to the music again now!!
