Ed Bishop video clip.

Neil Morris

Hi All,
I usually just lurk here on the list but as a by-product of my
playing..sorry..learning.. the hard way about video grabbing and
compression. I digitally recorded the "Waking the Dead story
that Ed appeared in recently and have Ed's 5mins in ep1 edited
up and packaged as a 13.5meg .avi file compressed with the
new Xvid Mpeg4 system. I have recently opened a broadband
account with NTL but have yet to build my homepage on the
free members website, so for a short time only (a few days) I've
uploaded the file and the necessary decoder software (should
you need it) into this webspace. You can find the files at:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/n.morris717/

As said, I expect to be deleting them by the end of next weekend
so if you missed the program or are outside the UK and didn't
have the chance to see Ed in action, enjoy.

For the technically minded the clip was compressed at constant
bitrate of 975kbts/sec with the current Xvid codec.. sound is std
mp3 stereo.

Best Regards
Neil.

Thanks for the clip!
Looks like Ed is wearing his Certina watch.

Well, from an Australian member of the list...
Thank heaps for going to the trouble of doing this Neil.

We miss out on *everything* down under:
No UFO conventions, or the chance to meet people like Ed (or other cast
members)...
Many of the eBay sellers don't ship outside the US and Canada...

It's great that people take the time to do this sort of thing!!

Best regards..
Jaime

Hey, Neil! I downloaded the clip - took about an hour <sigh> - but all I
get is sound - no picture. <pout>

I heard Ed - can't mistake that voice. :-)

Thanks!

Oh my god...
It took me 25.4 seconds to download it...
The beauty of broadband !!

After I installed the ffdshow.exe file it played beautifully.
Unfortunately I had to view it on my PC and not my iBook.

Enjoyed the clip. Took me a while to figure out instalation, but finally
got it right. I saved it on Zip. Also liked the stills from show. After all
these years since UFO he still looks and sounds good. Wish he was used
more. Know he is retired, but if a good part comes up, knowing a few unknown
actors my self, a good part is a thrill. Thanks again Elaine
