Hi All,
I see in the fine print of Fanderson's home page a very significant change: "Members can now pay for club membership and sales items by credit or debit card - we accept MasterCard, Visa, JCB, Switch, Solo and Delta. Members will be provided with a new Credit and Debit Card Sales Order Form with each club mailing for ordering Fanderson Sales items." This of course is something that us international members have been wanting for years! Finally all of my money will be going straight to Fanderson and not to the foreign exchange department of my local bank. Yipeee! -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |

I wonder when the next issue of Fanderson is going to be published? I'm still waiting for more details about accommodation and stuff for this convention in October. -- SuzannEd Sutherland |
When Pipex and FAB-UFO group are back in working order, will SHADO group's
archives be put somewhere where they can be reached from FAB-UFO's archives?, so people can keep track of discussions through these changes of site. |

Yes, I'll just send a message to FAB-UFO with all the SHADO messages, then it will part of FAB-UFO archive. Suzanne writes: >What happened to pipex anyway? Someone stick in a virus somewhere? By the time Pipex and FAB-UFO are running again, there will likely have been so many [hidden email] messages that sending them all again to FAB-UFO will be such a big bulk overloading people's email intrays (particularly people with dialup lines) that it might be better merely to put them in FAB-UFO's archives so people can read them if they want to. |

A nice idea, but I don't know of a way to do this with the listproc software. Best I can do is delete some e-mails which don't have anything to do with UFO.... like this one :-) -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |
Eh? You're gonna resend all these to FAB when it's fixed? <boggle> Why
not copy em all and just put them up on the FAB archive as a seperate entity? -- Y Marc Martin wrote: > > Anthony writes: > >By the time Pipex and FAB-UFO are running again, there will likely > >have been so many [hidden email] messages that sending them all > >again to FAB-UFO will be such a big bulk overloading people's email > >intrays (particularly people with dialup lines) that it might be > >better merely to put them in FAB-UFO's archives so people can read > >them if they want to. > > A nice idea, but I don't know of a way to do this with the listproc > software. When FAB-UFO is fixed, I will temporarily empty the database, so that the list thinks that there are no subscribers. Then, I will post all of the messages sent to this temporary SHADO eGroup. This way, the messages will show up in the archives, but won't be mailed to anyone. Once this is done, I will restore the database so everyone is subscribed as usual. I think that's a pretty good solution... -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |
