... a 1200 pound UFO Interceptor replica:

That's WAY too much for me, but nice to look at the pictures... :-)

+1 Very beautiful model indeed but out of price range also.

I have a slightly OT question for anyone, why is it that more and more I see the use of feet, inches and miles in descriptions of products, etc from the UK? The UFO Interceptor box art of this model says 27inch long, why not centimeters?
With the metric system slowly still trying to take hold here in the US, to see imperial measure used on a product make in the UK leaves me scratching my head.

Well, 1200 british pounds is about 1900 US dollars with
today's exchange rate.  Plus shipping!

Were the UFO saucers ever released by Sixteen 12?  They would have cost
a fortune if they did.  That would be some gift.  :-)

There have been various UFO saucers released over the years, though.
The ones from Konami (from Japan) would be the most affordable, but
also the tiniest.

Yes, UFO's were released by Sixteen 12, when they were Product Entreprise, along with The Interceptor. And, there is big model around, but I forgot the name of the company making it...

All the best,
Branko

Are you thinking of this one?

  http://store.scifihardware.com/1-48-scale-ufo-model-kit/

That looks like a kit, while at least the Konami and Product Enterprise UFO's
are sold fully assembled and painted.

From the Sixteen 12 website, I get the impression that they were planning
on releasing a larger die-cast UFO, but I don't think that ever happened.

It is a shame that I have never seen the UFO model or a toy with the shiny chrome effect of the "real" one...
