Funny how you can watch an episode a million times and then notice something

I've been enjoying my set of DVDs and am waiting for the A&E version so they will be REALLY great at the right speed. I was watching "Identified" for about the millionth time or so since the series was first on and noticed something that had I had missed before.

At the end, as Straker and Freeman are summing up the episode and talking about the alienes, Straker is sitting at his desk twirling something around in his hand. I realized it's the broken handcuff and chain from the briefcase seen in the car crash sequence. I thought that was a nice touch, Straker having a memento of something so critical to the launch of SHADO. I can't remember seeing in in any other episodes - can anyone else?

Also noticed something else. In photos of the scene where Gay Ellis changes costume, the male astronaut is sitting on the left, as in this photo from the web site:

However, on the DVD he's off to the right. I guess my attention was diverted elsewhere all these years. Has anyone seen a still that hasn't been flopped?

That's funny because, I don't have the DVDs, but I was watching the
video of Identified today and I noticed that handcuff for the first time
today too.

I think the broken handcuff only appears in "Identified", but if we are
wrong, I'm sure we somebody will let us know.
