I don't know? Could be? :-)
I was really surprised when the thing for Au Pair Girls turned up on TCM's
website. I had some fun last week watching a bunch of British comedies she
did. The guy in Norway sent me a tape for Christmas and it didn't arrive
till last week. Got to see her in The Upchat Line, a comedy series about a
fellow named Upchat who is always on the make. He spots Gabrielle's
character going into a house that has just been sold and passes himself off
as the interior decorator to get a date with her.
Got two episodes of her in Never The Twain. She played the same character in
both a Veternarian named Caroline Mortimer. Doug also said he had seen her
in one of these and his description of the episode was nothing like this so
she was in at least three or more as the romatic interested for the two rival
antique deals who were the series stars. The last was the short comedy film
she did call, Mr.H is Late. It very funny black comedy about them trying to
get to the the coffin with the body of Mr. H in it to his funeral and
everything going wrong. The ending is unexpected thus very funny in a
macabre sort of way. The tape also included the episode of The Saint she
was in The Best Laid Schemes. So I had a good time watching all this stuff
she had done I hadn't seen before.
