I have had the good fortune to recieve a lot package from a friend
oversea who sent me three tapes with different things Gabrielle appears in. One tape has All About A Prima Ballerina , The Code of the Mulliners, one of the episode of Crosswits she did and the ad she did with John Cleese for the British Telecom Talking Yellow Pages. The second tape has The movie The Steal and the British version of Cry Terror which was shown over here as Kill Two Birds. The last tape has the film The Man Outside, the BBC documentary A Stranger Among Us about her brother Nick Drake and just a small part of her first episode of Crossroads. So I am a happy fan. Happy Birthday Christian! James K. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Nice inspiration, maybe I should do a Gabrielle- Drake-Weekend? :-) I could watch AU PAIR GIRLS and CROSSPLOT and the episodes of THE PROFESSIONALS and THE AVENGERS with her in it. Yep! > Happy Birthday Christian! Thanks, James! Enjoy your tapes! Christian |

A folk/rock songwriter who produced some of the most inspired music of the 1970s. Sadly he committed suicide 29 years ago, before his music enjoyed anything like the acclaim which it does today. A CD compiled as an introduction to his music, 'Way To Blue' has just been remastered and is due to be rereleased any time now. See http://212.209.231.144/nickdrake/bstory.asp |

>Scott Don't worry Scott, I have a tape of Au Pair Girls. Well actually I have two. I've got one which I had since 1990 and another one which a friend taped off of Bravo in Canada a few years ago which might be a few second longer that the first one which was made off of U.S. cable. I also have her in There a Girl in My Soup, Connecting Rooms and Commuter Husbands. She displays fine form in all of them<veg>! James K. Dave,
Don't mind the comments of Mr. Gibbon. Gabrielle is more famous to most people than her late brother Nick to most of the people in the world unless you are a diehard music fan. The fact that you had not heard of him proves it. <A HREF="http://omrep.nl/human/nickdrake/movie.htm">http://omrep.nl/human/nickdrake/movie.htm</A> Check out the above for additional info to the one JG gave you. >Scott You can get copies of Gabrielle's films Commuter Husbands, and Suburban Wives from the following site: <A HREF="http://www.revengeismydestiny.com/BritishSexFilm.html">http://www.revengeismydestiny.com/BritishSexFilm.html</A> You'll also find a couple with other UFO actors in them like Anouska Hempel in Tiffany Jones and Harry Baird in Cool It Carol. You might find a copy of There is a Girl in My Soup in the Comedy section of any tape store. Getting to see Connecting Rooms is a bit more difficult. The best thing to do is go to the TCM(Turner Classic Movies) website if you get that channel on your cable system and use their request a movie option at the top of the page to ask for it. Hope this helps. James K. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Thanks to both James for the input.
I believe J (Sumiton) is a personal friend of Gabrielle, what a thing for her to go through.... her brother doing that. What a state of mind it takes for someone to do that. My heart goes out to her, even if it is 29 years too late....and to Nick too, for having deemed it necessary. Never seen Gabrielle in anything but UFO. Didn't know most of the actors had extensive careers outside. But since watching this list, I keep getting curioser about her movies. One of these days I'll check the IMDB and hit the video stores and see if I can find any of her stuff here in the US. Dave H |
