Wow! I had no idea there was a group of devoted fans out there for this show. I remember seeing it as a child as my sister enjoyed watching it. Years later I walk into a Barnes and Noble and there is the complete series sitting there to be plucked off the shelf! I was so excited about that.
Can anyone tell me what has happened to those beautiful cars in the show? I am a car collector as well and would be seriously interested in talking to the individual that owns them and seeing if they would be interested in parting with them. I saw Foster's car on the website. That car deserves more respect than to just be left like that! Not only is it a piece of history but a car shouldn'r be left out in the elements like that. Tony are you going to restore it? If not, I would like to buy it from you and give it a good home! Any chance they might make a remake of the show or even bring the series back? Way cool concept. Very trendy and without a doubt MOD! Nice to meet you all. Skyler |

HI all.
I have started work on my model of Straker's car, and have hit a bit of a hurdle. After going through several members sites, as well as Google and can't find good reference images of Straker's car. If anyone has clear images of Straker's vehicle, would you be kind enough to email me copies so I can finish documenting it? I will put the finished images up in the group when done, and perhaps make a poster and animation using the model., Here is the first draft of the body shell. [image: draft 1-640px.jpg] Cheers, Dave. Otherwise, I think frame captures from the videos are the best source. And I just did an image search on Google, and found this photo that I'd never seen before: http://www.flickr.com/photos/boo66/2191196374/ This is post-UFO, of course... Marc |

your image didnt attach, you might have to create a photo album on the website at shado, and then upload your image into the album and then notify the group.

I should have realised it would not attach.
I have put the first three images in the photos section under 'Dave Buckley' They are a UFO, the Harlington-Straker Studio sign and the start of Straker's car modeled and rendered in Cinema 4D. Cheers, Dave. Thanks Jim.
Here's a UFO in the driveway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb5BWlbQCpo I'll have to start work on an interceptor, unless someone could assist with sharing a model. That last one was a bit dark.
I hadn't allowed for the gamma correction when I took global illumination off. I have corrected the image here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNqI30B1SWU You can see the imperfections I left in the top of the saucer to track the rotation. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
