Hi UFO fans!

DENNIS2704
Hi UFO lovers. Thanks for let me be one of your new member on your club. I
have been a fan of UFO since the first time the show was aired in Puerto Rico
( spanish translation). I lalways admired the Ed Straker's car aerodynamics
style and futuristic design. I have been trying to get detailed car photos or
diagrams from different angles but haven't find what I am looking for yet.
During making my research I discovered your club. Recently I bought from
Abbey Models, England an Ed Straker's car toy, Dinky #352.

Regards,

Dennis

That reminds me. The only toy I still have from the UFO series is 'Ed
Straker's Car. I went & visited my mum at the weekend and found it in a box
in the loft. Still in pretty good nick. God, I wish I still had my
'Mobile' thopugh!

All during the 70s, I used to stop by the ZCMI department store in
Salt Lake and look at the Mobile and Interceptors that were on sale.
Unfortunately, that wasn't a very prosperous time and I had to pass on
getting them. A few years back, though, I found eBay. I've now got
about 3 mobiles and 5 or so interceptors, some in the box. At least
now I can play with them whenever I want (except the ones in the box,
of course). I've added those to my Major Matt Mason collection.

I'm glad someone mentioned Major Matt Mason! When I was a girl, I couldn't
convince my mother to buy me those. She had this dumb idea girls shouldn't
play with "boys' toys". So far all I have for UFO is a Skydiver model I
bought last yr over the Net - Pam

As a young lad growing up in New Zealand I had both the UFO Interceptor and
the Shado mobile.
I did months worth of arduous chores before my birthday and then asked my
parents if I could have the Interceptor. I had to draw my Dad a picture of
it so he'd know what to buy. I remember dreading opening the box on my
birthday in case he'd bought the wrong toy!
Then a few years later I saw the Mobile and counted down the days until my
birthday for about half a year.
Both were well loved and, alas, long gone... I've often dreamed about going
back to the house where I grew up with a metal detector and a spade...
Now I have a bandai Interceptor in bits and an 18" resin Skydiver.
Cheers!
