Jane Merrow in Italy

here's a message which has just been circulated about the upcoming meeting with Jane Merrow in Italy.

Dear All,

we are finally able to let you know the schedule of the meeting that ISOSHADO is organising with Jane Merrow, interpreter of the intriguing reporter Jo Fraser in the UFO episode "The Responsibility Seat".

Jane will be in Italy in the weekend starting June 2 and she will meet with UFO fans on both Friday in Milan and on Saturday in Genova.
On June 3 Jane will also be hosted by a Ligurian TV station where a commentary of the UFO episode "The Responsibility Seat" will be recorded.

As far as the meetings with fans are concerned, we are currently planning on organising two dinner meetings where Jane will be available for photos and autographs.

2006 ISOSHADO Members will have free access to the meetings and should get in touch with ISOSHADO secretary and treasurer Enrico Quaglia to confirm their attendance and get further details.
Non-members who may be interested in attending should as well inquire with Enrico Quaglia ([hidden email]).

I always had a hard time dealing with watching Jane Merrow... as that
tramp-like character in UFO.... after having first seen her play that
young, innocent, girl in "The prisoner".

Jane was excellent in the "Lion in Winter" alongside Peter O'toole and
katherine Hepburn, although I suppose that's beside the point!

I can say that after hearing her speak at the Fanderson Convention 2005, I
definitely had a different opinion about her overall abilities as an
actress. I had not realized that she played that part in "Lion in Winter".
As an actress, her resume was extensive and she was very versatile. As a
person, she came across as intelligent, charming and very well spoken. I
feel it was one of the best guest interviews that weekend despite the fact
that UFO was only discussed briefly.
