Konami models

J Ramage
The rest of my Konami set arrived today [great excitement] from Japan, so
now all I need is the Lnt. Ellis, if ever a single one comes up on eBay.

The models are brilliant though, I'm seriously impressed, and spent all
morning fitting everything together. The detail is fantastic - even the
little people in the cockpits have the right uniforms etc. And although I
am 23 and technically that counts as 'grown-up', I did sit with the SkyDiver
making the little SkyOne separate and fly off, before I noticed what I was
doing!

Konami needs to make more of these! Where's Straker's car, or a moonmobile?

Not to worry Jess. To paraphrase a old saying "What separates kids from
adults is the price of their toys." So happily enjoy yours. You paid
enought for them.

I just got SID and a Rescue Eagle from Space: 1999. I had no trouble
putting SID together but seperating the landing gear for the Eagle is
difficult. The previous Eagle I got I ended up breaking the landing
gear seperating them and had to super glue them back together. I'm
going to do my best to avoid that this time. I like to get the rest
from UFO but they're going on ebay for more than I care to spend.

Re: Konami models (in Chicago area)

For those in the Chicago area, JP Gift (the toy store in the Mitsuwa
Marketplace building) at 100 E Algonquin Road in Arlington Heights,
IL (phone # [847] 640-1124) had four of the SID sets the other day
for $12.99 each. I picked up one with Fireball XL-5 in it (nothing
against the Eagle, but Woo-Hoo!)
