Hi all,
Anyone know what a "skin for Yahoo Messenger" is? John Parker sent me a Lt. Ellis skin, which for Windows users is supposed to be unzipped to the "c://Program files/Yahoo!/Messenger/skins" folder. Here is a link to my temporary directory: http://ufoseries.com/temp/ellis_1.zip Hey Steve Christensen! Perhaps you might want to put this on your desktop themes site? That seems like a more appropriate place for this than my website. (I know I've got Steve's attention anyway, since this e-mail has the words "Lt. Ellis", "skin", and "unzipped" in it...) :-) -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |
I've heard of skins for video games. That involves taking a character in a
game and altering it to look like someone else. There was a big thing in the computer first person shooter games like Doom to make skins that looked like other characters. The military even used it to make skins that looked like military personel carrying military weapons. Other people did things like making skins ranging from real people to cartoon characters. James |

Marc;
Yes you have my attention. It does seem like a more appropriate place for this, on my site. I'll try and update my site. My site again, is having issues with files. It seems like FortuneCity has been doing some modifying. After the first of the year, I'm going to try and locate another server and re-do my site. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks Marc; Steve Christensen >From: Marc Martin <[hidden email]> >Reply-To: [hidden email] >To: [hidden email] >Subject: [SHADO] Lt. Just as a suggestion - try www.virtualave.net I have several sites hosted
there and have had no trouble with down time or them doing major changes without warning their users. (They also have an option for removing the ads that's not too expensive.)
