Mary Straker - Fan Fiction

lazenbyland
Two of my favourite episodes are Question Of Priorities and Confetti
Check A-OK.

I was wondering if anyone has produced any fan fiction where Mary
Straker finally discovers the truth about Ed Straker and SHADO?

I suppose it would all have to end with her having the amnesia
procedure.

I thought the Space:1999 Breakaway Part 2 was brilliantly written.

I cant quote which scene they spoke about this, but didn't they infer in
confetti check a-ok, that if someone found out the truth, they would be
killed by security? This was before they spoke about the amnesia drugs.

UFO Comic Art Preview

High Cotton
UFO Penciller Christopher Jones has put 8 pages of pencils and finished
art from Misc!Mayhem's UFO Issue #0 up on his website. As the youngsters
would say, he has "Mad Skillz."

Too weird, I actually started writing a short story about three
weeks ago, based on Straker's comment to Alec that he's thinking of
telling Mrs Straker about SHADO, actually a UFO/Callan crossover.
If I ever get it finished and put it on the web, I'm afraid diehard
Straker fans won't like a lot. It doesn't end with the amnesia
procedure, no.

Here's a tiny clip from a first draft of what I have so far ..

"My God". Henderson stood and walked to the window. He looked out
over the London skyline for a few seconds, then turned to face CIA
colonel Andrew Carter, who was standing at his desk. "You're sure
- SURE this is genuine?" He looked down at the open briefcase, in
which a tape spool was slowly winding itself round a miniature
tape deck. The Colonel leaned over the desk and pressed the stop
button.

"Absolutely certain, General. I removed the tape spool from the
recorder myself. The conversation took place between Commander
Straker and Colonel Freeman between 1430 and 1500 hrs this
afternoon. This copy hasn't been edited or modified in any way."

Veres, Mary

I recall reading several Fanfics where Mary finds out. I can't recall the
authors, but they were quite good in my mind.

I've read a few neat stories about Mary by dragon, who inspired me to write
one of my own. It's called "Full Circle" and Mary definitely does NOT get
the amnesia drug in the end! Both dragon's stories and mine can be found in
the SHADO Library run by our efficient Deborah Rorabough.
Yours,
Denise
