I got that some years ago and it has several black & white photos with a
color section in the center.

Series-wise, it runs up to DICK SPANNER. Not a bad book, but there isn't
much detail given about the series beyond a cast list, number of episodes
and short synopses of them.

It's okay, but note that Chris Bentley is writing a new
all-Anderson series episode guide, which should be published
later this year. The old book is all in black & white, and
has a lot of errors in it.

ALSO, Chris has found a publisher for his proposed "Complete
Book of UFO", which Carlton was not interested in, so he
will start writing this after he finishes the all-Anderson
book.

Hi Marc!

Thanks for the updates!

Can you tell us any more info on the first book?

Second one sounds interesting too -- I wonder who will publish it?

All I know is that it's supposed to cover every Gerry Anderson
production from 'Four Feather Falls' to 'Lavender Castle'. And if
you've seen Chris' "Complete Book of Thunderbirds" and "Complete Book
of Captain Scarlet", then you'll know that this new book will
probably be quite impressive!

Well, I appreciate your vote of confidence, but I think Chris will do
an excellent job!

I on the other hand have never written a book, nor do I really know
what's involved in putting together a book that would be full of
photographs. And besides, I hardly have enough time to work on my
UFO website as it is, how would be if I was trying to also write a
book?!!

You have organized material on the websote well enouh, it wouldn't take too
much of an effort to turn it into a book... I still vote for you,
Marc

All the best,
Branko

I did enjoy Chris Bently's work on the Complete Book of
Thunderbirds. I didn't read through the episode section too closely
but i really enjoyed the making of section (Or whatever it was
called) in the front part of the book. I bought the Capt Scarlet one
but haven't read it yet. One of the really cool things about the
Thunderbirds book is you see really young pictures of people like
Keith Wilson and Brian Johnson working on the show. I was pretty
impressed with the whole thing.

One the subject of the complete Gerry Anderson episode guide book
it's alright, I have it but I really don't use it much with all the
information available on the web. My interest in it is as a
collectable, instead of a resource.

Well if POWYS media (Who are publishing new and really good Space
1999 books) http://www.cerebralmassage.com/powysmedia.html
ever get into new licensed UFO books Marc you could certainly be a
consulting editor or proof reader! I've spoken to Mateo Latosa at
times about including UFO in these books on some level (Right now
there are no plans so don't freak out!) but Mateo really isn't much
of a fan of UFO. His knowledge of Space is expansive though and it
shows in the books he's published so far. But who knows, Bill Latham
and Mateo did such a great job on the characters in Space 1999
Resurrection I can't imagine what they'd do with the character of
Straker who just shines over the years.

Anyway, if they ever decide to do anything UFO related I'm postive
Marc will be the second person called! Right after Carlton!
