Lyn,
please see my previous post...the UFO DVD boxset won't be released in
Australia in Nov 04, but after June 05. This is according to the
distributor. Should be worth waiting for if they combine the various
commentaries on both the UK and US sets...

cheers

Does anyone have a good contact for the people at Umbrella who are
thinking about doing new UFO extras? I could put them in contact with
the same guy who recorded the 2 new commentary tracks for the
American UFO release -- perhaps we could get a few more UFO commentary
tracks recorded, if we can connect the right people together...

Hi Lyn,

Just a quick note, Aussie and UK DVD's play the same format (I know yours is
region 4 and ours is R2) but I have some Saint DVD's from Oz (because they
were released earlier than the UK) and they play fine in my recorder, I also
have another couple of films which are Australian and which I've purchased
through Australian retail sites and they play ok. UK and Aussie video recorders
can support the same formats too.

Just a thought in case you can't wait and want some UK DVD's.

Nice to see you on the SHADO list too :)

Claire

Not for UFO directly but for The Saint (although this lady could be in the
sales department and may help, if not she could perhaps tell us who to contact
- worth a try?)

Claire, April!! Hi!. Thanks for the info. If they put the release back any
further I might have to buy UK version. There's only so long one can wait.

try this site:

http://www.the-mausoleum-club.org.uk/

Go to the forum, the guy that runs Umbrella Grant T ocasionally posts
there [and responds to queries] as do quite a few people in the "know"
about archive DVD releases of UK tv show. Its a good place for heads
up on forthcoming DVDs.

Umbrella DVD releases are held in very high regard on this site due
to: region 0 policy, extras, packaging and the competitive pricing
stratergy. I got the Dept S box set and that cames with a repro of the
original ITC promo brochure - the full set of 8 DVD's including post
was little over fifty quid.

The site is worth checking out for the Supercar documentry.
