New! Searchable UFO photo gallery

Hi all,

A change to my "UFO Series Home Page"...

The "Character Photos", "Hardware Photos", and "Behind the Scenes"
photos have now been merged into a single "Publicity Photos" page, at:

  http://ufoseries.com/publicity/

The big change for visitors is that this now has a "search" feature, to hopefully
make it easier to find what you are looking for.

The big change for me is that it's now easier for me to add photos to the
website than it was before (newer technology).

Still no fancy "adjusting the photo to the window size" or "user comments",
but I figure I can just upload things to Facebook for that... :-)

And even if you don't like this new change, finishing this was preventing me
from adding any new photos, so that's one less obstacle out of the way for
getting some new UFO photos online (and I think this design will scale up
nicely to accommodate lots of photos)

I do like it, and it reminds me of a question I've had on my mind for a while. (There's no direct reason it reminds me, except that I spent some time a few months ago surfing several UFO sites looking for an answer to the question, and I saw a LOT of gorgeous photos!)

Anyway, my question is: Gerry Anderson said in the DVD commentary that the SID interior set was still in service "today" (which I think was around 2000 or so?). Where was it being used?

I don't even remember Gerry saying that!  I guess I'll have to listen to that commentary track again...

I don't remember that either.  Time to pop in the disc.  :-)

Aw gee. I hope I didn't misunderstand something he said. I sure thought that was the set he was referring to. I think he said it was used in Space:1999 and was "still in service to this day" or words to that effect.

At any rate, it was a fun commentary track to listen to.

I did notice, though, that while he raved about Ed Bishop, George Sewell, and Peter Gordino, he said virtually nothing about Billington except to mention Bishop's (?) injury and the lawsuit.

Granted, Billington's not in Identified, so there wasn't much reason for Anderson to mention him at all.

Gerry briefly talked about Mike Billington in the the Fanderson "UFO Documentary".
Basically it was along the lines of "I hated his guts for his good looks, but basically he as a person wasn't very different from Paul Foster" (from memory)

Hmmm, I've got the Gerry Anderson commentary track for IDENTIFIED
playing right now... he DOES say that the airplane that lands near
the beginning of the episode might still be in service....

Oh, I remember that. But I thought he said something similar about the SID interior. I will check it myself this weekend.

OK... it's right around the 20 minute mark. First he was talking about the rolling roadway, and then we see the SID interior, and he says it's still in use today (2000)... but I think, actually, that he was still talking about the rolling roadway and not the SID interior.

Never mind!
