Had me going for a minute, forgot it was April Fools day. Robin Williams as
the Commander( I like RobinWilliams) and Britney Spears as Gay PLEASE?????????. Hollywood bigwigs have no brains, I would not be able to go see it. I would like to remember the original series and would be happy to get the new DVDs and watch the original. Im glad there was a disclaimer, and remark about Ed Bishop was fighting words for a fan. I would help brake knee caps and rip out reporters heart. Elaine [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
I often dream about a new UFO movie and it would be
interesting if a studio picked up on the DVD sales and thought twice about it. Actually Britney Spears as Lt. Ellis wouldn't be a bad idea. As for Straker, my choice is Gary Oldman--that guy can portray anyone. Bishop should have a cameo as Gen. Henderson. Not to alarm anyone, I had a strange dream of a "missing" UFO episode titled "Essence." It was similar to "Mindbenders" except that somehow the Aliens were able to infiltrate SHADO with a organic substance that passed from person to person (ala sweat, saliva) and it made everyone obsessed with sex! The goal was, that if all SHADO personnel were shagging, the UFOs could just slip by security. The scene that I remember the most was Col. Freeman asking Straker in his car if he had ever considered a homosexual experience. Straker just kept nervously avoiding the question, but Freeman keeps insisting, working up a sweat, demanding Straker stop the car and they do the "purple wig" in the back seat. Straker gets alarmed and Freeman grabs for the wheel and the car careens back and forth at top speed. "Snap out of it, Alec!" "Ed, I want you, I've *always* wanted you!" "Good God, man, what are you, crazy???" "Yes, about you, Ed!" Finally Ed is able to subdue Freeman and keep control of the car, but now the "essence" has been passed onto him and he has to keep his mind straight as the UFOs prepare for an all-out assault on SHADO. Also, I received my replacement DVD box set from Amazon.co.uk and it included the post cards and the booklet. Unlike the first set that I ordered, this set was SEALED in plastic wrap! However, the cardboard box was creased and the plastic DVD holders were cracked in several places. But you can't beat the service! JF __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Oldman is very charismatic but he needs a character with a bit of a sinister edge to bring it out. Someone a bit more warped than Straker. > Not to alarm anyone, I had a strange dream of a "missing" UFO > episode titled "Essence." . . . > Straker gets alarmed and Freeman grabs for the wheel and the car > careens back and forth at top speed. Sounds like you've been reading Yuchtar's more imaginative fan fiction. |

If we are patient for just a few more years then we can probably have
a UFO movie with all of the original actors anyway. The way CGI is advancing, soon it will be possible to re-construct virtual actors from images in the original footage and voices from the original soundtracks. Then we won't have to fight with our our own memories when we watch unfamiliar actors try to play all too familiar roles. Seems only fair to also pay some premium royalty-type payments to all the original cast and their families too. ...Stupid technology... hurry up!
