New story

Denise Felt
Hello there!
I'm ending January with a new story.  It's called 'Zugzwang' and can be found here: http://denisefelt.weebly.com/zugzwang.html

The tagline reads: A downed UFO brings the past crashing back into Cmdr. Straker's life.

This story is a Sci-Fi Forever Forum challenge story.  I hope you'll enjoy it!

Yours,
Denise

Straker, somehow it's always about you.

hey!
i just woke up and finished reading your story........ it was very very good!
i enjoyed it.
i hope that for february that you write another....i would like to hear about what she went thru there and how she captured an alienaut and a ufo and coursed it to earth!
you really got me on the romance too, i was in the military on the east coast on a secluded beach with a young woman that i lost too. i wasnt in charge of an anti- invasion covert ufo deversion force though! lol!
i also liked the nueances that leave open a whole bunch of questions for new stories.....like why they didnt slaughter her for parts, if she was the only one or was there a resistance plauging thier little prison there.......
i liked the green skin vanity problems too.
well,
jim

Jim,
Thank you for the lovely comments! I had a feeling when I finished this story that the readers would want a sequel.  It will have to wait for another day, since I'm already working on two other stories, but I won't rule a sequel out.  I thoroughly enjoyed Trisha's character and the dynamic between her and Straker and wouldn't mind exploring that some more. *grin*
As for the green skin problems -- I had to make that part humorous, because any woman could tell you it wouldn't be.  It would be catastrophic!  So Trisha's also a trooper for handling it so well.  (Well, I couldn't make it totally real or she'd spend the entire story crying her eyes out!  Nothing romantic about that, is there?)
So glad you enjoyed the story!
Yours,
Denise

Elaine!
There you are!  You could have commented on the story at the Sci-Fi Forever forum as it was being written, you know.  I am always appreciative of feedback and won't diss on you.  Promise.

I wondered when I finished the story if readers would want to hear more about Trisha's time on the alien planet.  But since I did that with the Sheila stories so much, I didn't want to repeat myself, even though I have the circumstances very different in this UFO universe.  My beta tester assured me that it wasn't necessary to do a sequel, but from what I'm hearing from you guys, I think she's wrong for once.  Actually, I had wanted to do a follow-up showing that she did make a huge contribution to SHADO with her inside information.  Hmmm . . .
*grin*

Denise
