Notice anything familiar?

Griff
Hi,

Do you notice anything familiar about the desk, shown at about 1:53?

Here's the link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8253236.stm

Hi,

Sorry, I forgot it isn't always possible to view BBC content from outside the UK.

Here is a frame grab from the excerpt:

Sometimes it's not even possible to view it INSIDE the UK :-) I was
having problems viewing it.

However as to the desk, well it's quite possible for the desk to be seen in
many different programs for 2 main reasons:

1. It's quite likely the production company bought a job lot of furniture
(from another production) and "jazzed" it up to look futuristic
2. That style of furniture looks very 60ish, and so could likely be
bought from one of the furniture shops of the time (Habitat, MFI (???!!! :-) ))
or if I can remember the style of "shops" when me and my parents visited one
to buy a new 3 piece suite, a privately owned "cash and carry" type place,
for probably not a lot.
