OT: ISS Assembly Animation

Paul Bowers
Have you guys seen this yet?

Maybe the next module will be SID. Or maybe the whole ISS thing is a red
herring.

Cool, eh?

It'd be neat if we had some sort of rocket scientist on the list.

Yeah, it *looks* good, but I'm more worried about aliens stealing my
internal organs and thoughts and, like, stuff. 'cause you never know
what with all the abduction stuff going on.

When I went to Seattle to meet up with Marc (it was an ASME event) I had
to explain to outsiders that I was not, in fact, a nutcase.

I don't know if the explanation worked.

Just to add - my daughter - (who studied  rocket science at uni !) found the site very interesting!
I found a site some time ago that showed you how to make a scale model of the ISS using plastic drainpipes! Might try that one day!

We do.

Sort of.

Me.

My background is in physics, but I work as an engineer for an aerospace firm. Not an Actual rocket scientist, but a "sort of a rocket scientist". ;)

Thanks for the animation! It's pretty neat!

Oh, and a couple months ago, I finished up a SHADO parody storyline in my comic strip. It's been running for a while, as it starts about here:
http://techfox.comicgenesis.com/d/20070702.html it takes a bit to get to Shado, and they're more functioning as an Anti-terrorist role, but it's all in fun.

Of course, the characters are talking animals, so it's a Planet of the Apes parody too.
