Original 1972-73 USA UFO broadcasts?

Hi all,

While the folks from England debate which day of
the week UFO was shown on, I'm reminded that I
had compiled a lot of this sort of data for
the American broadcasts at:

http://ufoseries.com/magazines/tvGuide.txt

I was wondering, since we have a lot of new
people on this list since when this information
was compiled, does anyone here have access to
old 1972-73 USA TV guides and could supply
any additional information about the original
USA broadcast dates in various cities?

Thanks!

Marc

I don't have access to the TV Guides, but I clearly
remember that UFO being shown on WTVT-13 (CBS
Affiliate) in Tampa/St. Pete on Sundays at 4 PM...golf
tournaments permitting, that is.

After UFO ended it's run, it was replaced by Mutual of
Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

Here in my part of Alabama UFO aired the Birmingham TV channel WBRC on Sunday
nights at 6 p.m. central time. It ran in this time slot from September
through December. In January of 1973 it as replaced by reruns of National
Geographics TV specials. I was really ticked off by this cutting the series off half
way through its run a thing like that had never been done before to any TV
series shown in this area. However the rest of the series was finally shown
starting in May of 1973 when it was shown on Sundays at 1 p.m. till the second
13 episode were shown. After this the reruns of the episodes were shown at any
odd time the station felt like it. It might play a episode on Saturday
afternoon at 2 p.m. and the then next week it would show up on late night TV at
midnight or after. This went on till the all 26 episode were shown in reruns
and the new TV season started in September. I would say this was weird but I
have heard a few other people say that UFO was given this same sort of
treatment in their area, first shown in a regular time slot to good rating and then
pulled and played programing roulette with.
