Painting seen in THE LONG SLEEP?

Hey, I got a question from someone and I don't know the answer, maybe someone here does?

In the UFO episode THE LONG SLEEP, there is a painting behind Catherine's hospital bed -- does anyone know who did this or what the painting is called?

I've attached a screen grab here.

Thanks!

Could the artist be the same guy that Gerry Anderson talks about in his commentary for the episode 'Identified'? A guy that called himself Paris. He and Gerry started a company called Paris Designs, and they were going to get rich selling these paintings, but it didn't work out.
Wish I had my DVDs handy.

Hello :)

It was Keith Wilson's work ('Paris' of Paris Designs: secretly partnered and financed by Gerry Anderson). I think to be fair, in this day and age, Gerry and Keith would have had NO problems at all selling this kind of work, I can't imagine why they were not able to sell even one! But, there was a lot going on in the late 60's and early seventies. I do not think I need to mention how much Keith also had to do with the designs/costumes in what would have been UFO 2 / Space:1999...

I am certain (okay, know for a fact) this painting (very similar in style and texture, but not color to the large painting at the far end of Commander Straker's office), also ALL the other paintings and wall sculptures were Keith's work: Miss Ealand's office, etc.

Whether the artwork in question had titles, I do not know.

There is quite a bit of information in Chris Bentley's UFO book: I think the 3rd version has more. Also, I am certain that one of the earlier FAB Magazines has a whole section/outline of Keith's work in UFO... I am sorry, I can't remember which FAB number.

I am sorry, I cannot check at the moment as I am still confined to bed... won't bore you with the horrible medical details; wouldn't wish it on anyone... But, I am still here :)

Hope this helps...

Best wishes to you all,

Griff
