Professionals

Hi all, the Professionals was a good show. More realistic then most police
shows.Good drama. I saw Ed Bishop in two episodes after UFO. I look at UFO
then the other things I have with EB, blonde did make a difference.I hope
they release UFO DVDs in the states. I have full set of tapes but will
also buy DVDs. Elaine

Yes, 'Long Shot', where he plays a U.S. diplomat, one
'Dr. Edward Harbinger', and 'Man Without A Past',
where he plays an F.B.I. agent. (When at the end of a
car chase, Bodie drives him off the road and looks at
his I.D., Bodie says something like 'blooming heck,
FBI !' I half expected him to say 'blooming heck,
SHADO !' ;^ ).

And other 'U.F.O.' actors appeared in the series -
Gabrielle in 'Close Quarters' as Bodie's girlfriend,
and Michael Billington in 'The Rack' as 'Big John
Coogan', an ex-boxer, gangster and nasty piece of
work.

A very entertaining series... though not in the same
league as 'U.F.O.', obviously :D

Speaking of UFO cast members in The Professionals, I know that Gabrielle
Drake was in Close Quarters but I saw mentioned in the interview that she and
Ed Bishop did at Fanderson that she mention she was in two episodes. I see
that all the reference site only list her in the above mentioned one. So
what is the other if anyone knows?

I was at the Fanderson convention, and listened to both the Gabrielle Drake
and the Ed Bishop interviews; possibly you might have misheard. Gabrielle
said she did only do one episode (which she didn't like because of the
brutality and violence), but Ed also said he only did one (despite being
challenged by members of the audience!) - as you'll have read from the
messages already posted he did two. Clearly he must have had an off day when
he did the second!
