As a child, watching the original broadcasts of the show, in 1970, I found COURT MARTIAL and CONFETTI CHECK A.O.K. to be the worst episodes. Why? No aliens, no UFOs and no action! My adult opinion of CONFETTI CHECK A.O.K. has changed and I can appreciate the Human drama and the fleshing out of Ed Straker's character to show why he's a hard-edged, almost ruthless leader. But my adult opinion of COURT MARTIAL is even more negative than when I was a child. This is without any doubt the single worst episode of UFO: completely dispsable. The episode is so boring! We know Foster won't be shot, even though found guilty, and so there is no suspense at all, just plodding and padding for 50 odd minutes! ZZZ. A complete snorefest. I watched the episode on DVD, through protesting eyelids, to make sure there were no problems, for the reviews I wrote on some message boards, but never again!

This episode is so *not* a snorefest for me!! I love it.
The acting is excellent... it is loaded with suspense... The sets are great (eye for detail in the apartments etc). I love it when I'm watching a series episode (of any of my favorite programs)... where a main character lands in a compromising or near fatal situation... it doesn't detract from the entertainment knowing that they are going to appear in the next episode!! It's good to see how they get out of said situation. And more often than not it enhances the suspense (like in Court marshall).
