Hi Stephen - I DID watch that show - loved it! But, the network kept moving
it around to accommodate sports events (it seemed at least) and I missed
episodes because they were not on at their original time. It only survived
one season and I think the networks didn't give it a chance at all! Pam

Oh, THAT again. In TV scheduling, sport is a bully and a thug and I
am sick of it displacing everything else. A few times when sport
displaced e.g. Star Trek, I wished that Captain Kirk would beam out
all the footballers responsible, willing or not, and retrain them as
something useful like asteroid miners.

Is there any sort of email group or etc to discuss Dark Skies and
write fan fiction ser in its scenario?

Not that it makes any difference to the TV schedulers, but for the most
part, certain sports aren't raking in the shekels like they used to.... I
spent 12 yrs with the Atlantic Television System here in eastern Canada, and
believe me, sports ruled the airwaves. Even celebrity tiddle-winks came out
ahead of regular programming, it seemed. Every fall, our lives in the
programming dept were made mucho miserable by the baseball playoffs and
World Series - our system simulcast the games with the American networks,
which meant our cable companies in our region had to be advised on a daily
basis about about what to do. It was a big fat pain in the u-know-what.

Sorry, I just had to vent - I know it's off topic - anyhoo - Dark Skies was
a definitely worthy successor to shows like The Invaders, UFO and I loved
the way they brought conspiracy ideas into real situations. Some were a
little on the dicey side, such as portraying the Kennedy brothers as in the
know about aliens, and the episode with billionaire Howard Hughes. On the
whole, tho, I thought it was well done. In fact, it should have garnered the
same kind of audience as the X-Files.

I'm not aware of any sites for Dark Skies, but maybe it's time someone
created one (if there isn't one already!) - Anthony - this may be your baby!
