Re: OT - sorry

Pam McCaughey
Dear UFO e-posters around the world - my heart is heavy and saddened even
further by the fact my fellow countrymen and government was so damn slack
that some of the hijackers entered the US through Canada. I am ashamed my
own people let the world down by letting these vicious evil men get through.
My prayers and thoughts are with those in NYC and DC, not to mention the
poor souls in the airplane that crashed in Pennsylvania. News has leaked
that the male passengers aboard that liner tried to overpower the hijackers
and prevent them from hitting their planned target. May the great Divine
Entity take those innocent souls to Paradise, and consign the evil-doers to
a hell, if there is one. There should be a hell. Sorry - this all just
breaks my heart - Pam

Look have not posted here before, but it is unfortunate that I am
responding to this post. How on earth can you make a statement like that?
I do not see how our fellow countrymen and government is to blame for this
devastating event. And how did we the United States let the world down? I
have not been one to voice opinion about things, but I think it is high time
to do so now. Doug

Don't blame your fellow Canadians for this, Pam. NO ONE was expecting
something as vicious as this attack. And the US certainly won't be blaming
their friends, the Canadians.

Ours, too. It has been so heartening to see the support pour in from around
the globe to the US during these dark days. We thank God for all of you!
Yours,
Denise

I have to second that.

Canada's been there to back up the US in this, cleared its air space and
received almost 300 planes that couln't land in the States (and I think that
it could have turned out as a dangerous move, if there had been other
pirates on board). Not to mention Québec offering the use of hospitals and
counsel to the passengers, and the RCMP and Provincial Police helping in the
investigation.
Some people may have sneaked down through our frontiers, but others seemed
to have gotten directly to the States without much problem, even getting
their piloting lessons there. Those people were well prepared, well trained
and had *big* backup. It was well planned, and had been for a long time,
too...

Since I'm here, I'd like to offer my deepest sympathy to the victims'
families: American, British, Canadian, and all the others... So many who
won't get to see their loved ones again because of a bunch of fanatics...
What happened is a tragedy, a senseless tragedy.

Who needs aliens to make people suffer in fiction, when we have other fellow
'human beings' that do so in so brutal a way as those who acted this week
did?

Nicely said Anny, I'm sure most, if not all of us will want to
endorse your sentiments.
