The page that lists the info is the same as before
http://www.cybrary1999.com/con99/ufo1999/index.htm with no purchase details. If Kyle and Co are selling the video at the convention I'll be sure to post the details on the list. I'm going to Main Mission 2000 September 1 - 3! http://www.cybrary1999.com/con2000/ -----Original Message----- From: Anthony Appleyard <[hidden email]> To: [hidden email] <[hidden email]> Date: Wednesday, August 23, 2000 4:19 AM Subject: [SHADO] What is the current state with the UFO:1999 video? >What is the current state with the UFO:1999 video? > > > > |

Hi All,
Since we have several new members on [hidden email], I guess it's time to ask a question that has been asked several times over the years, and yet NOBODY seems to know the answer. So in case one of our new subscribers knows the answer, here is the question: In the UFO episode SURVIVAL, Paul Foster's girlfriend is listening to a piece of rock music while taking a shower. Does anyone know ANYTHING about this piece of music? (group name, song title, etc.) And in case you need to refresh your memory, here is the music: http://ufo.simplenet.com/tune.mp3 And please realize that I *don't* know the answer to this question! -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |

>Life Ain't Easy - The Equals Wow! Someone finally knows the answer! I see that this song is currently available on the CD "Baby Comes Back" (track 11): http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000038I5M/o/qid=967295347/sr =2-4/026-2691471-7281233 I'll have to check this out! Thanks Keith! -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] P.S. So let's see, we now know this song, plus we also know Straker's record player music from RESPONSIBILITY SEAT ("Forest Murmers", Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Otto Klemperer, 1963), and of course "Get Back" by the Beatles is obvious! Any other non-Barry Gray tunes in UFO? |

This is a bit out discussion but I take the opportunity to say that some of the UFO italian movie compilations have John Barry's Music from 007-James Bond movies...(I think something from THUNDERBALL).. -- http://www.supernet.it/ufotv UFO MERCHANDISE COLLECTION HOME PAGE Angelo Finamore, [hidden email] -- |

Here's an update on the spoof video series "UFO:1999". Part 1 and
the brand new part 2 will be shown at the MainMission:2000 convention next week in New York. Amazingly, there will also be a part 3, and all 3 parts will be shown at the Century 21 Convention near Birmingham England in October. And I have no information on if/when these videos will be available for purchase. -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |

I've just got back from there :( Just thought I'd share that .. I feel better now. Then Tom wrote: > One of Anderson's visions was a jet aircraft that could fly like a > heilocopter. I am curious as to why one was never made in real life. Well, the good old British Hawker Harrier (which was around and in use in the RAF when UFO was made, so I think it's probably unfair to say that it's one of GA's visions) can do vertical take off & landing and hover, so I guess one _has_ been made in real life! Please pass this onto whoever is making UFO:1999 :: if they want to use any
of my Poser models in their video, I hereby authorize them to. It and other Poser models are on http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk :- UFO alien: http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk/3d/alienga.zip Posable UFO: http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk/3d/aaufo.zip alien rifle: http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk/3d/alienrfl.zip Grey alien: http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk/temp/Greyalien.zip and many other models, including a flamethrower for Yuchtar. The UFO is only posable if you have a PC: its posing program won't work in Mac mode. The aliens are regular Poser models. |

In an attempt to learn more about the INVASION:UFO theme, I asked David Hirsch if he knew anything about it, since he was one of the people who created INVASION:UFO. Unfortunately, he doesn't know much about it either: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sorry, but I don't know where Robert Mandell got that music from. I know it was from some library, possibly supplied by the editing house Dolphin, because it showed up in a car commercial about the same time. I asked Bob for a copy of the tracks, but he never gave them to me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ So I guess this music will remain a mystery... -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |
