Hi Rob - RATS! My UFO model hasn't arrived yet! I ordered only the Sky 1
model - if it has to be painted, I'll do the pieces before I have my hubby put them together. BTW, I glommed onto two Trek models for $10 apiece last week - AMT company figures of Mr. Scott and Odo. I do have other Trek models (i.e. Deep Space 9, the Enterprise, Klingon battle cruiser, Romulan War-Bird, plus a few of the Hallmark Xmas tree ornaments....) RE: cats - I hope you're able to get the feral tom to cozy up. Poor zood. No home to call his own..... We just have one feline at present, a Siamese-Himmie mix called Cleo-catra. We're in the market for more, and I've been in contact with a Siamoo breeder about 40 mins from us by car. She has several queens whose litters are due about mid-Feb. My hubby wants a Blue Point female, but I love ALL cats. That's why "The Cat With 10 Lives" bothered me so much - poor kitty! I had to include a GOOD Siamese cat in my own UFO-derived novella to make up for that poor little one in the original series.....I sent the novella to Mike Billington by e-mail the other week, he read it, pronounced it "excellent' and suggested I try to flog it as a screen treatment! Sooooo, I e-mailed in turn to Sylvia Anderson, but I doubt anything will come of it. Eventually, I'll get it converted to HTML and send it to Dandello at the SHADO Library. I'm just doing the cover artwork for it...... Ciao for now - Pam >Hey Pam, > >Have you recieved your UFO kit(s) from "Monsters" yet? >Mine turned-up 2 or 3 days ago. Hi again Rob - do the UFO models come with any decals? I wonder what scale
they are? I'd love to do one of my female Barbies as Lt. Ellis! Alas, I don't know how one could convert a Ken doll into Straker - for starters - how would one get the platinum hair? BTW - when I was a kid, I had a feline named Ricky as well! She was beautiful - what we here in Atlantic Canada call a "money" cat - her coat was white, reddish, brown and black - it's not too often males are born with all 4 colors. Cleo had me up at 6am the last two mornings wanting to play "Mousey" (you're safe WriteMice ladies - she'd be too timid to chase you ha ha!) - that is: she brings one of her toy fur mice in, drops it on my head, and expects me to throw it so she can play fetch. If strangers come into our house, she ducks automatically under the bed! Pam > >$10 can't be bad! And as for doing scale crewmembers, my best suggestion would be to find a package of ESCI NATO Pilots & Ground Crew (If they still make them), since there are a few figures in that pack that would make convincing SkyDiver crew. For the Straker miniatures, they were made from several separate pewter miniatures, all of which are out of production, so there's little hope of that happening again... :-\ There was a space traveler named Wright Who liked to go faster than light He started one day In a relative way And came back the previous night!
