That's a relief - I was dreading having to watch adverts again!

I know what you mean Nick - I hate watching them too. I'm not sure what the copyright situation is now with the UFO theme. I know Barry Gray's family used to have the copyright and didn't like themes being used without their permission - and Fanderson used to be the only outlet where you could get it, I really don't think they would allow it the UFO theme to be used on a car ad although I may be wrong. Hi Theresa, It was for the Nissan Micra. There is also another one with a girl challenging a man to an arm wrestling match in order to win a parking space but he declines as the ad is meant to show that she is superior because she drives a Nissan Micra - draw from that what you will LOL. I saw that same wrestling ad for Micra in Italy too. And that ad did not
have the UFO tune. Are you meaning that the UK versions of the Micra ads have the UFO tune? I wish they had it in Italy too... Thanks, teresa > It was for the Nissan Micra. Mmm....
Okay, there's something weird going on here. I am based in the UK and have seen all the ads mentioned, and none of them use the UFO theme or anything like it. I'm based in southern England, it is possible that they may be different in other parts of the UK, but it seems unlikely. Why bother? The demographic isn't that different... I think that the music the person heard was similar to the dum dum dum dum dum part at the beginning but that is all. As far as I am aware the Nissan company have not used the UFO theme at all unless someone can prove me wrong ;) Claire [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

If you go to this site and put 'Micra' into the box labelled 'brand/product
name' you will find all of the UK Micra ads. I'm based in Western Scotland at the moment and know the adverts you mean. They don't use the UFO theme here either. (I know the whale one in particular as my mum thinks it's 'cute') All the best Jess [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Hello Everybody,
I was just watching the video and the theme is very similar to the one used on the Inspector Cartoon from the Pink Panther. It's the Main Title from "A Shot in the Dark", the first Pink Panther
sequel.
